Welcome to East City's Project H. We believe in our community and its potential to become the healthiest, happiest and most harmonious place on earth by 2030.

Canada was ranked the #1 Country in the World for Quality of Life in 2020 for the 5th year in a row. Peterborough once held the #1 spot for fastest growing community in Canada. East City is undoubtedly the best area in the city to live. We have a pretty decent head start, wouldn’t you say?

Project H is really just a series of pop-up ideas, events and initiatives that mean to better our world.

Like our FB Page if you’re curious.

The work that you, the team and the volunteers will be undertaking will be important for our small community on the local level. Importantly, the model could scale well for larger communities seeking to incorporate policies and practices that support health, happiness and harmony.

Back by popular demand, our Witches Flash Mob!

October 20th, 2022 6pm in East City

Come one and all to this fun free foolish event. We will have one dance lesson prior. Truly for those with two left feet and costumes are remarkably footwork forgiving. Price of admission: Must dress as a witch of some variety. Even just a hat will do.

Dance Lesson: 30 minutes on Thursday October 13th, 2022 at 6pm. Meet without costume between Hunter Street East and Duoro Street on the Rotary Trail with Mason Perkins from A Frost Dance Experience in Peterborough. The path is lit but bring a light for safety sake. You can practice the lesson instead with the video down below and arrive just for the event, if you prefer.

Flash Mob: 30 minutes on Thursday October 20th, 2022 at 6pm. Meeting same location as lesson to start. Wear something witchy and if you don’t feel like dancing, come watch. Tell everyone you know. It turns out watching fun is the same as having fun.

SOME OF OUR PAST PROJECTS…

December 16th 6pm - 7pm for a Whovile-inspired happy Christmas tree challenge!

Join us at 155 Hunter Street East, on the corner of Hunter and Rogers Street for this one-hour pop-up event inspired by the Grinch.

  • Bring or make a Christmas decoration and swap it out on our Happy Tree for your Kelcey’s Nutrition Centre treat and a challenge to be performed within our East City community. Crafts are brought to you by Katie Legere of free2be Yoga and Soap.

  • Enjoy a cup of hot cocoa brought to you by our East City neighbour Kathryn Matheson Nutrition.

  • Our finale will be at 6:45pm when we’ll gather around the Christmas tree to recreate the Whoville song we all know and love. You don’t need to know the words, but let’s be ridiculous and do the song, we must. It’s just good for the soul.
